The Office of the Vice President of Research is committed to creating an organization that demonstrates success not only through its research but through its employees. The Vice President for Research recognizes the role each employee plays in creating this environment. The Organizational Development, Learning and Assessment (ODLA) Coordinator along with the ODLA collaboration team assists by providing a dedicated and consistent coordination effort for fostering and promoting organizational development, learning opportunities and assessment initiatives with the OVPR. CSU Training and Organizational Development Office
The primary University resource for training is the Training and Development Office (TOD). TOD offers a variety of professional and career development courses. In addition, TOD also links to a plethora of training resources such as Environmental Health Services, Computer Training and Support Services, Human Resources Services, the Nutrition Center, Office of Equal Opportunity and Diversity and many more.
Colorado Department of Personnel Development Center
The Colorado Department of Personnel through its Development Center provides training and professional development opportunities to all State employees. Some of the training and development courses that are available focus on employee and team development, supervisory and leadership training, technical training and risk management. All of the classes are off-site at the Professional Development Center in Denver, Colorado. Please visit their website for the latest information about class offerings.
Institute for Learning & Teaching
The Institute for Learning and Teaching is another resource for providing learning opportunities in learning and teaching. TILT supports CSU faculty and staff in their professional development, course development and scholarly inquiry activities. More information can be obtained at their website.
CSU’s Study Privilege
Academic Faculty and Administrative Professionals on regular or special appointments and State Classified staff are eligible to register for credit courses at Colorado State University that are either job related or career enhancement in nature on a space available basis. Please talk with your supervisor to be sure eligibility requirements are met.
